We collect the above information to help us complete your booking, to keep in touch regarding updates to your booking, or to answer any requests you have. We may also keep email correspondence on file until any booking, issue or other matter has been resolved. Any disclosed health issues or concerns you have are to ensure your health and safety whilst enjoying a trip with us.
We may collect device/browser information to help us improve and optimise Katoa Lake Rotorua’s website. It will also be used to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns.
We may use your information to send you a short survey about your experience with us. We use these surveys to help us improve our services. We will only send a one off email but if you do not wish to receive one please contact us at info@katoalakerotorua.co.nz.
Katoa Lake Rotorua staff will take your photo upon departure. You may request no photos to be taken for your individual shots, but a photo will be taken for the group boat photos. Your photos will not be used for marketing purposes without prior approval and your individual photos will not be sold to anyone else but yourselves. We may store your photos up to 3 months, after which time they will be permanently deleted. These photos are for the purpose of your enjoyment should you wish to purchase them after your trip and are not collected for any other reason. There may be times that Katoa Lake Rotorua Limited makes your information available to third parties when required to provide our products. If you book a combo with us, we will share your booking information with our combo partner to complete the booking of which you have selected.
We work with third-party payment service suppliers to facilitate payment. Sharing your personal information with these third parties may involve transferring your data from New Zealand where our servers are located, to other global destinations which may not adhere to data protection laws as comprehensive or protective as those in New Zealand. However, this policy governs the collection, storage and protection of your personal data.
Personal information shared with third parties will not be used for their marketing purposes.
Katoa Lake Rotorua Limited take the security of personal information very seriously. We take all reasonable steps to ensure the protection and security of any person information you may provide to us, from misuse, loss or from unauthorised access, modification or disclose.
Any access to personal information is strictly limited to Katoa Lake Rotorua Limited’s employee and trusted contracted third party providers who are subject to strict confidentiality obligations. All personal identifiable data is password protected and protected by industry standard firewalls; and encrypted where possible. Katoa Lake Rotorua Limited uses a secure credit card system supplied by Windcave for processing credit cards. All credit card payments are processed by Windcave. Katoa Lake Rotorua Limited do not store or have access to any credit card numbers.
